ULI NEXT Mobile Tour: The River District (NEXT Members)

**This event is for members ages 35-50 only.** ULI NEXT members are invited to tour The River District, one of Charlotte’s most ambitious and transformative mixed-use developments located along the Catawba River. This guided experience will offer an insider’s perspective on the vision, planning, and early execution of a large-scale, nature-integrated community that is shaping the city’s long-term growth.

Participants will gain insight into the development strategy behind The River District, including residential planning, upcoming retail and commercial components, and the intentional integration of green space, trails, and outdoor amenities that define the project’s identity. The tour will explore how placemaking, environmental stewardship, and thoughtful phasing are being balanced to support a dynamic live-work-play environment over time.

As part of the experience, attendees will also have the opportunity to view “The Troll,” a distinctive and immersive public art installation that reflects the district’s emphasis on creativity, storytelling, and connection to the natural landscape.
