Program Overview In Season Four, the Lincoln Lawyer goes from defending clients into the cold reality of a prison cell when he is charged with the murder of Sam Scales, a former client.  The evidence: Sam Scales was a grifter and did not pay his legal bills, his dead body was found in the truck of Mickey Haller’s Lincoln. and a bullet matching the murder weapon was found in Haller’s garage.  In this presentation, we will discuss the warrantless stop and search of Haller’s Lincoln, speedy trial issues regarding Haller’s upcoming trial, trial tactics including impeachment and the use of expert witnesses during litigation.  In the second hour of this presentation, we will discuss ethical rules regarding attorney client privilege and, a prosecutor’s ethical rules regarding probable cause, ethical rules regarding discovery, and unprofessional conduct during litigation.  Attorneys have described this Lincoln Lawyer series as informative, entertaining, relatable and an “Excellent program–interesting, engaging and practical.” Speaker The presenter, Philip Bogdanoff, is a nationally recognized presenter who has over 40 years of experience as a prosecutor and has litigated cases involving allegations of juror misconduct.‬ Previously, he served as an assistant prosecutor in Akron, Ohio for close to thirty years. Mr. Bogdanoff argued cases before the Ohio Ninth District Court of Appeals and twenty cases before the Ohio Supreme Court including six death penalty cases – before retiring as a senior assistant prosecutor.
